Now that we’ve all been spending plenty of quality time at home, more than a few of us are probably daydreaming of an affordable escape. Perhaps someplace quiet where one can commune with nature and get away from demands (and chores) of our days spent indoors. Sounds dreamy right about now, doesn’t it?

Don’t worry: You don’t need to purchase a rustic log cabin or a faraway fixer-upper to achieve this new lifestyle goal. An A-frame house kit might just be your perfect solution. These cozy prefabricated structures are well-equipped, aesthetically pleasing, and can be built virtually anywhere, so they’re ideal for those looking to get off the grid—whether for a quick vacation or for good.

Another appealing aspect of prefab A-frame homes is that they’re also typically energy efficient, featuring smart design elements that make the most of natural light, heat, and cold to keep inhabitants comfortable while minimizing energy consumption and one’s carbon footprint.

Even better? They’re not crazy expensive. We found six A-frame house kits for sale for under $100,000. All of these are available from companies in Europe and Canada, so they could cost a pretty penny to ship to the U.S. But we can dream, right?

Cost: Starting at 9,790 euro ($10,562)
Size: 42.8 square meters (461 square feet)

Ideal for summer vacations and short-term stays, the Avrame Duo 75 is small yet comfortable. Created by an Estonian company, the one-story structure—made of strength-graded timber—can be assembled in three to six days. Optional extras include dormers, stairs, a terrace, and more.

Cost: Starting at 36,655 euro ($39,548)
Area: 138.9 square meters (1,495 square feet)

Claiming to be one of the most spacious and modern A-frame houses on the market, Avrame’s Trio 150 is suitable for families and year-round living, according to the company. The two-story building can be assembled in six to 10 days, and has ample windows and doors that let in natural light.

Cost: 34,900 euro ($37,655)
Area: 26 square meters (280 square feet)

Innovative modular design meets traditional building methods and materials in A-frames by MADi HOME, an Italian company. The one-bedroom model spans two floors, and standard features include air-conditioning, a bathroom with toilet and shower, plus plumbing and electrical systems.

Cost: $16,650 (includes total outfitting) + shipping/installation fees
Area: 15.2 square meters (164 square feet)

This one’s for the camping enthusiasts among us. Made to meld with its natural surroundings, the Villa Massive by Slovenian company Lushna is no frills. It’s a simple bedroom with a large glass wall that brings the outside in. Featuring a shingle roof and made from untreated larch wood, it’s built to withstand all four seasons.

Cost: $54,470 (includes total outfitting) + shipping/installation fees
Area: 19 square meters (205 square feet)

Those seeking a bit more space will want to opt for Lushna’s Suite Lux, comprising a king-size bedroom, a bathroom, and a kitchen. (Just look at that wood-plank front terrace with its rustic rope enclosure!) Open the glass door to blur the line between the interior and exterior spaces.

Cost: $29,500 CDN ($20,918 USD)
Area: 107 square feet

The Backcountry Hut Company, based in British Columbia, was created in 2015 by avid outdoor enthusiasts with an appreciation for simplicity. The company offers three modular cabins. System 00, the newest and least expensive, is a one-room A-frame that can be assembled in less than a week by a handful of people.

Note: Euro-to-dollar conversions were accurate as of press time.
