Hammer knocks, Chelsea sends Denis Zakaria back in January 2023

49erssports.com - Denis Zakaria seems to be ending his career at Chelsea sooner. The midfielder will return to Juventus in the winter.

On the deadline day of the transfer market yesterday, Chelsea got the services of Zakaria. They borrowed the midfielder from Juventus for one season.

In the loan agreement, Chelsea have the option to make Zakaria permanent. They can redeem the midfielder from Juventus with some money.

Reported by 90min, Chelsea will not activate the clause. Instead, they will repatriate Zakaria early to Juventus.

Check out Zakaria's transfer situation below.

Not needed

The report claims that Zakaria recently met with Graham Potter.

During the meeting he discussed why he did not get playing time in the Chelsea squad. On that occasion, Potter admitted that the midfielder was not in his plans.

He said the midfielder did not fit his playing style. So he decided not to use his services.

Returned Faster

The report also claims that during those talks, Potter and Zakaria agreed to end their cooperation sooner.

Zakaria should only be sent home at the end of the season. However, they agreed to repatriate Zakaria in January.

Chelsea will contact Juventus in the near future to arrange Zakaria's return to Turin.

Can be loaned back

The report also claims that it is possible that Zakaria did not return to Turin immediately.

The midfielder is reported to be most likely to be loaned to another club because Massimiliano Allegri is also less comfortable with the midfielder.
