No but a trailer was shown. The same will probably be for Skyward Sword. If it doesn't happen, that doesn't stop it from being more likely in it's favor than not.

Even if there's some truth to this, I heavily doubt it's a game announcement - I don't think the attendees at GDC would really care. It's probably something related to development or distribution. Free SDKs for everyone or something.

oh it might happen alright. never said that it wasn't going to happen. a trailer or two might happen for sure. that's what usually happens. a boring ass keynote followed by a cool trailer or two/

Get some sleep. There will probably be some moderately cool stuff shown, but nothing that'll justify being a zombie tomorrow.

BTW: I hope people have there expectations in check. At best we'll get a new trailer for Skyward sword, an unveiling of "3DSware" and maybe one surprise. The rest will be a lecture about how Nintendo does development/business, like these GDC keynotes are supposed to be.

Listening to the de Blob 2 soundtrack while waiting for the stream. Can't wait for this, but not for the announcements. I genuinely like what Iwata has to say when he speaks about subjects that aren't just game announcements, at least most of the time.

This is what I'm most interested about. I like Iwata's insight on development and the business of this industry.

I love Iwata. Even if he doesn't show any sort of new games or anything I'll be satisfied just being able to watch him talk. He seems to genuinely care about gaming.

Also those bingo cards are all missing a guaranteed hit: dozens of gaf and blog posts about how Iwata "failed" because he didn't show X
