In the light of increasing industrialisation and a rapidly growing population, building materials of all kinds are in great demand in Germany at the end of the 19th century. The young engineer Heinrich Wehrhahn from Delmenhorst recognises this trend towards industrial production plants early on and in 1892 he and his brother founded the Gebr. Wehrhahn engineering works. There is no electricity for industrial production at this time: the first machines developed by Wehrhahn GmbH are powered via transmissions driven by steam engines, watermills or windmills. Peter Trumme has been working for Wehrhahn GmbH with great commitment for many years. Initially as a design engineer and contact person for installation site projects. Then as a Project Engineer and since 2003 as a Project Manager. This gives him a pool of experience, expertise and the ability to communicate with colleagues and customers in such a way that at the end of a project the customer gets exactly the production plant that was ordered. This can be a completely new construction design, exploring a wide range of options with regard to customer requirements from different countries with different cultures and varying weather conditions. On the other hand, it can be a modefication, upgrade or extension of an existing production plant, which includes the assessment of the current status and planning of the machines to be replaced and/or added. As Project Manager, he organises and coordinates the production plant design with his team of experts and at the same time he prepares the installation and commissioning at the customer’s site. Technical expertise is just as essential as close and regular contact with all those involved. He also visits the customer several times during project period. If everything fits together, the production plant runs on schedule. After commissioning, Peter Trumme continues to be the "All-Round Project Manager". The first construction phase of our new company headquarters has been completed and part of our staff has already moved into their modern new offices.
