Police Probe 3 Prince George's Shootings

One man was shot and killed at a crowded gas station

Prince George's County Police are investigating an early-morning shooting that killed one man at the Shell gas station in Capitol Heights, Md.  

The incident was one of three separate shooting scenes in the county that are being probed by police.

Police say that at 3:21 a.m., shots were fired at the gas station, located at Ritchie Road and Central Avenue.  There were several patrons there a the time.  One man was struck and transported to the hospital, where he died.

Police say there were several witnesses on the scene who are now cooperating with police.  Police have not released the name of the victim, a motive or suspect information. 

Elsewhere in Capitol Heights, police said someone found a pizza deliveryman fatally shot in the 6800 block of Seat Pleasant Drive around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. The man died on the way to the hospital.

Police are still looking for the shooter and say robbery is among the motives being considered.

A third shooting was reported along Walker Mill Road. In that case, the victim was still alive when he was rushed to a local hospital. There was no further information available about that incident.
