[BLACKLIST] No more replies to some C44 members

On Monday, December 14, I pointed at an article I found on the Internet: [SOUTH CYPRUS] Britain will close air base. http://www.cyprus44.com/forums/27787.asp . I like to follow the news and I thought it was interesting enough to share this article with C44 readers who could easily have missed it. The reactions - from msg 4 - became at once hostile, xenophobic and personal. The "Enemy of the British Empire" had to be nailed down again. Not for the first time, but this time I got fed up. There was absolutely no reason to do it.

I have found a solution. I will not extensively reply to some board members (now on my personal blacklist) anymore. They only get "Blacklisted" as an answer. So go ahead, Holland, Dutch and DC bashers, write your usual stuff - from now on I'll laugh all the time.

If someone expresses a different opinion to your own you instantly go on the attack,normally with some personal attack on their level of education and when they reply and get the better of you then you announce that you are not going to reply any more.



What is the point? By replying 'Blacklisted' you're giving them a badge to wear, it's better to not acknowledge their posts, and carry on as though they don't even exist - they'll soon stop trying to wind you up (well, EVENTUALLY they'll give up, anyway )

I have to say that it's a surprisingly difficult strategy to which to adhere (is that right? ) - and I don't always manage it myself

Anyway, they're right about one thing - bloody Foreigners, coming over here, getting off with our Wimmin, eating Foreign muck, drinking Foreign beer, driving our buses, running our Hospitals, why don't they go back where they belong?

I am getting fed up with DC taking over certain posts. He doesn't add to most of them, he just has this anti British trash that he puts up.



I've noticed that if it requires an answer that helps people he never subcribes. He is a sad Dutch person with a chip on his shoulder.

Hans, if you do not wish to reply to certain members then that is your prerogative, there is no need however to post your Blacklist note. If I see it on other threads I will be moved to remove it.



I seriously doubt that many if any members have an actual dislike of the Dutch in general but in case there are any can I exhort them to resist posting those views and more generally encourage people not to post just to wind up or retaliate to a fellow member.
