Yes i do...using gcam build for Redmi Note 7 by BSG... everything works except for portrait mode...
Like any other phone that uses gcam, the result is better then stock camera...

So still there isn't a port realized properly for A3, the users are using ports for other phones that however work but with some bugs...
Is not better to use port for Mi9?
Mi 9 has the same main sensor (48 Mpx Sony) instead of Redmi note 7 (48 Mpx Samsung)

It's lighter due to the lack of the Motion Capture feature, beside that I can't really tell what is the difference with the other one
In my opinion the quality of the photos is better in this version. But it can be a placebo effect.
Snapdragon 665 is capable of 720p@240fps slow-motion recording. Does this mode we have in GCAM? With the stock camera, you can shoot just 1080p120fps

Use arnova latest app and set the following parameters to run app without any errors. Pictures are much brighter and sharp compared the stock app.
I m using Indian 4gb 64 gb variant.

Is there any port that can enable our Wide lens camera?
Confirmed Mi9 port everything works except Wide lens, Xtreme version, default xml, ver 6.1. Front camera not working on Urnyx version, ver 6.2.

10Hello guys. After playing a few days with gcam versions and settings, here are the ones that I prefer
Daylight

Low contrast, natural look (for gcam) and high dynamic range. Not suggested for night shots due to very slow shutter speeds that it prefers.
Indoor and low light

Suggested for lower light shots. As you can see there are 3 different xmls. So here is a some explanation
- night : high detail, high contrast, dark shadows.
Pros: good detail with less visible noise (the shadows are dark so the noise is not very visible).
Cons: a bit contrasty (not very natural) and lower dynamic range (darker shadows) - night-lc: high detail, low contrast (more natural), lighted shadows, visible noise.
Pros: good detail and dynamic range (shadows are lighted up).
Cons: visible noise on the lighted dark areas and sky - night-lc-cleaner: medium detail, low contrast (more natural), lighted shadows, lower noise. Similar to the night-ls but with higher noise reduction.

Ok. Let me rephrase. No working gcam for ultra wide without risks and moding. Are we cool ?
Anyway. I am not a developer. Just a hobist "mobile photographer". So are there any thoughts for the above settings? What do you think?2Hope they will make a version for mi a3
The new Redmi Note 8 uses the EXACT SAME camera as the Mi A3, so don't worry a Gcam will come soon enough, keep an eye out on both forums. - night : high detail, high contrast, dark shadows.
