The Minnesota Twins and Chicago Cubs are both looking to finish atop their respective divisions, and each will send an All-Star to the mound on Sunday night at Wrigley Field.
Though Jose Berrios of the Twins has a 5.76 road ERA compared to a 2.67 ERA at home, he’s allowed three runs or fewer in each of his past three road starts. He faces a Cubs team that entered Saturday averaging 3.59 runs per game at home this season, worst in MLB.
The Twins have struggled to score themselves, averaging 4.4 runs per game entering Saturday. They will be up against Cy Young candidate Yu Darvish, who has gone went six or more innings in each of his past nine starts. He has given up just four home runs this season and allowed three runs or fewer in every start to post a 1.86 ERA.
With both offense having their issues and a pair of trustworthy starting pitchers combined with two solid bullpens, runs might be hard to come by.
The play: Twins vs. Cubs total, Under.
