Alabama man with special needs reported missing in Concord

CONCORD, NC (WBTV) - Police in Concord are asking for the public's help locating a man who went missing while visiting from Alabama.

Christopher Ledon Johnson, 43, was reported missing by family members Tuesday. Johnson is from Monroeville, Alabama and was visiting with his family on Lincoln Street in Concord.

The family reported that Johnson walked away from the home between 9:30 p.m. and midnight Monday.  Officials say he is considered to be special needs.

Johnson is described as a black male, 6'2" tall, 210 lbs, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with an air-brush championship logo, blue jeans and white sneakers.

Officers say he may be in the Charlotte, Concord or Kannapolis areas.

Anyone who sees Johnson or has information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Concord Police Department at 704-920-5000, or Cabarrus County Crime Stoppers at 704-93-CRIME.
