Samsung is adding another product to its line-up of lifestyle TVs. 'The Terrace' is a range of 55, 65, and 75-inch TVs for the outdoor living space with features like Tizen and AirPlay 2.

In addition to The Frame, Serif and The Sero, Samsung will offer The Terrace. It is a TV designed for outdoor use that is water and dust resistant with IP55 rating. The remote control and an optional soundbar are also weather-resistant. To ensure good picture quality in bright daytime settings, the TV is equipped with a powerful zone-dimming LED backlight that can deliver up to 2000 nits brightness, the company said. It also features an anti-reflective coating to help subdue glare in the screen. - "The Terrace offers a crystal clear display in all sorts of outdoor conditions. It provides a brightness level of 2,000 nits, ensuring that you’ll be able to enjoy content in crystal clear quality, even in broad daylight," said Samsung.

The Terrace has Samsung's latest TV features including the Tizen platform, which offers access to streaming services such as HBO, Netflix, Disney+, Apple Music, and the Apple TV app. It supports AirPlay 2 to let you wirelessly push video or music from a mobile device onto the TV screen. An optional soundbar can be mounted to a wall or directly to the TV. Samsung imagines that by adding a soundbar the system can also serve as an outdoor solution for music.

With the launch of The Terrace, the South Korean company bolsters its line-up of lifestyle TVs, with a main focus on design and new use cases. Samsung also has a full line-up of more conventional TVs designed for the living room. Samsung said that The Terrace will launch in the US and Canada first, followed by rollouts in Australia and Europe later this year. It will be available in 55 ($3500), 65 ($5000), and 75 inches ($6500).
