An exciting new networking event supporting women working in the infrastructure sectors.

The Northern branch of the Women’s Infrastructure Network "WIN" (UK) aims to bring together women working in infrastructure sectors – transport, utilities, communications, government and environmental – across the North of England.

Founded by women at key regional businesses, Northern WIN (UK) aims to bring together women who want to expand their professional networks across industries, and share best practice for evolving equality of opportunity and career advancement.

This launch event is hosted by the Nuclear AMRC, part of the national High Value Manufacturing Catapult, and sponsored by Copperleaf and Walker Morris. It will include presentations from women working in senior roles in the UK’s nuclear power sector, as well as networking opportunities and discussions on developing the group for the benefit of all. Introducing the Northern branch of Women’s Infrastructure Network (UK)

The Women’s Infrastructure Network "WIN" is an inclusive global network with Chapters operating in the USA, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.

WIN (UK) was launched in 2011. Members meeting in London represent a diverse group across the entire spectrum of participants in the infrastructure industry and include members of public agencies, equity sponsors, infrastructure and pension funds, commercial and investment banks, law firms, financial, technical and insurance advisory firms, engineering and construction firms, operations and maintenance providers. Having representation from a wide cross-section of the infrastructure community allows for rich and insightful discussion across our industry.

Northern WIN (UK) seeks to provide the same supportive and facilitative forum, based in the North of England. Creating a Northern group enables participation by those who aren’t based in London but still wish to be involved in the wider infrastructure community. Establishing Northern WIN (UK) will ensure the community can continue to strengthen, and the impact women have within the industry can continue to grow.
