Fairfax County teacher Lilit Vanetsyan slammed the Loudoun County Public School board (LCPS) at a Tuesday school board meeting in a brief, fiery speech.

In the video, Vanetsyan challenged parents to speak up and not be afraid of the LCPS school board, which has faced backlash for some of their progressive educational stances.

“Don’t be afraid to speak out for your kids because they are voiceless, and they rely on you,” said Vanetsyan. “You should be afraid of them rooting for socialism by the time they get to middle school.”

Not only did the outspoken educator have a message for parents but also for her fellow teachers.

“Teachers, it may seem that our careers have come to a dead-end, but I’m here to remind you we don’t work for the school board,” Vanetsyan continued. “We work to mold the next generation of well-rounded, American patriots. So don’t give up, because it is up to us.”

She also told students in the schools, which she referred to as “indoctrination camps,” to push back on their teachers, especially when teaching aspects of Critical Race Theory (CRT).

“Do not allow anybody to tell you that you cannot accomplish anything because of your skin color or to hate yourself because of your skin color,” she said, ripping into CRT.

Finishing off her comments at the meeting, Vanetsyan once again took aim at the school board itself.

“This isn’t over,” Vanetsyan sounded off, right as the board muted her mic and the audience broke into thunderous applause.

Many LCPS parents have spoken out against the school board pushing CRT and equity programs, while other parents have compiled conservative parents’ names as a part of an “Anti-Racist Parents of Loudoun County” Facebook group, NBC News reported.

These controversies have turned LCPS into the subject of heated debate over the last few months, with their bi-weekly school board meetings turning into a must-see TV event.

This is not the first time Vanetsyan has been a vocal advocate against LCPS, as she spoke at another LCPS school board meeting in March 2021, firing off similar criticisms against the board.

A former reporter for Right Side Broadcasting Network, Vanetsyan also runs the @teachers_for_trump Instagram page, in which she posts political updates in the education system and has a following of over 24,000 people.
