I am trying to set up a user on my server but giving access to named folders only, I seem to remember doing this using aliases, but can't work out for the life of me how I got it working.
I have a structure like this:
c:\folder\folder a\part 1\
c:\folder\folder b\part 1\
c:\folder\folder c\part 1\
c:\folder\folder d\part 1\
c:\folder\folder e\part 1\
I want a user to be able to access 1st 3rd and 5th folders but not the others
Can anyone help please
Selective folder access

Re: Selective folder access
First, the FTP account needs a directory (empty) assigned as Home. Then, you add the directories as resources and give each one an alias in the form /aliasname. They will appear as subdirectories. Use unique alias names even if the directories itself have equal ones.

Re: Selective folder access
If your post has cPanel, just use that. Otherwise why not use .htaccess
