How Do You Keep Remote Teams Productive? If you’re managing a remote team, you may be concerned about ensuring everyone stays productive. First, make sure your team has the resources they need to be successful. If they lack access to the right tools, software, files, data, or equipment, they will have a harder time completing their work and may be unable to complete certain tasks at all. New employees should also receive sufficient training and support to ensure they can be successful. Once you have given your team all necessary tools and access, set reasonable goals and deadlines for each team member. Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and make sure everyone clearly understands what is expected of them. Hold team members accountable for meeting these goals through regular check-ins and collaboration tools. If someone is not meeting their goals or starts missing deadlines, speak to them privately to identify any issues and make a plan together to get them back on track.
