Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Driver Charged with Rape in Murfreesboro

A 53 year old Antioch man who works for the Tennessee Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities has been arrested by Murfreesboro Police and charged with rape.

During an investigation Detective Tanis Knox with the Murfreesboro Police Department spoke to a female victim who was recently picked up by ABC Express and transported to her medical appointment. Evidently, Lulseged Wakjira who goes by the nickname of "LuLu" was the driver who picked up the victim.

The suspect is accused of telling the victim that he could help her with pain management because he was a licensed massage therapist. The victim trusted "LuLu" and allowed him to give her a massage. It was during that massage that the suspect reportedly sexually assaulted the victim.

After Detective Knox and Detective Tommy Roberts interviewed Wakjira, he was arrested and charged with rape. The suspect will appear in court on May 21, 2016. The subject is currently out of jail after posting a $30,000 bond.
