The First Tee is expanding its footprint to include talented young golfers from Baldwin County in Alabama.

The Board of Directors of the Greater Pensacola Junior Golf Association announced the expansion of the non-profit's operations in conjunction with its re-branding as First Tee Gulf Coast on Friday.

Previously known as The First Tee of Northwest Florida, the non-profit organization has operated locally since 1990, aiming to teach life skills through golf while advancing accessibility to the game.

Operations in Baldwin County will be led by Alex Huffman, director of instruction at the Alex Huffman Golf Academy in Orange Beach, Alabama. A state champion golfer at Gulf Shores High School, Huffman's golf career in golf instructions has included foundations in both Gulf Shores and Birmingham, Alabama.

Full schedule for instruction and classes in Baldwin County will be announced in the coming weeks.
