205 Punjabis stuck at Gurdwara Majnu Ka Tilla shifted; No one found infected with Covid-19

NEW DELHI, India—On April 1, the AAP led Delhi state government shifted 205 residents of Punjab from Gurdwara Majnu Ka Tilla to Nehru Vihar School. Notably, these Punjabis were stuck at Gurdwara Majnu Ka Tilla for the last four days.

Sharing the development with media, DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa informed that all these people had gathered at Gurdwara Majnu Ka Tilla because all the buses for Punjab depart from here. “The SGPC had rescued several Punjabis by sending its two buses three days ago, but the remaining got stuck due to strictness in lockdown,” he added.

“We had shared the full details of all these people with the state governments of Punjab and Delhi after which the Delhi government came into action and shifted all these people to Nehru Vihar School,” he informed.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa further informed that the DSGMC will provide free food to all these people three times in a day.

He also clarified that no one among these people is infected with Covid-19 or has symptoms of Covid-19.
