You do not need to login to this page unless you are a VDH employee, contractor, or affiliate. REDCap credentials are different from CoV credentials. Welcome to REDCap!

REDCap is a secure web platform for building and managing online databases and surveys. REDCap's streamlined process for rapidly creating and designing projects offers a vast array of tools that can be tailored to virtually any data collection strategy.

REDCap provides automated export procedures for seamless data downloads to Excel and common statistical packages (SPSS, SAS, Stata, R), as well as a built-in project calendar, a scheduling module, ad hoc reporting tools, and advanced features, such as branching logic, file uploading, and calculated fields.

All projects, which collect data from the public, or for operational purposes must be moved to Production before data collection begins. This is necessary as VDH is required to retain certain data by law and CoV policy. Making changes to a project can cause corruption, or loss of that data if done improperly. When making changes to a project in Production, you have a chance to review your changes before they are implemented. If the administrators discover projects which appear to be collecting real data, or contain more than 20 records and do not contain the identifiers TEST, TESTING, or DEVELOPMENT in the title, they will be moved to Production automatically.
