Officers are investigating after four men allegedly raped a man with disabilities in the bathroom of a Sacramento public park.
Sacramento police said Monday they can’t comment on the details of the case. Police did say a report was filed and it has been forwarded to the sexual assault unit.
Steven, who has autism, ADHD and cerebral palsy, said he was coloring at Tahoe Park at 3 p.m. Friday when he was approached by the suspects who exposed themselves to him.
He then went to the public restroom in the park to get away from the men. However, the men followed Steven inside and raped him, he said. During the sexual assault, Steven said the men kept calling him derogatory names for people with disabilities. Steven said he ran home after the assault, called police and went to the hospital.
Steven said Monday he is speaking out because he doesn’t want this to happen to anyone else. He said he was attacked for being disabled.
