Carried the rosewood today

Hi Guys, I'm looking to to get one of these fine knives, are there any dealers in the US who sells A Wright knives or will I have to buy direct from the UK?

Thanks Jack! :) Hope you have had a good day my friend! I always love the photos of your knives taken outside!:cool:

image.jpeg image.jpeg I worked on the bevel today. The edge is straight but looks a bit funny because the width of the bevel changes along the blade. The grind was a bit off, or warped from the heat treat. :)
You may notice I removed some material from the tang where the stamp is/was. The tang was crooked and was pushing the middle liner over, crowding the secondary blade.

The issues my knife came with must be the exception. Perhaps my knife is a second, or is from a long ago production run. Current two bladers may all be better knives. The example my friend recieved, same model, was entirely free of functional issues.

Wow Michael, that's pretty dramatic! It looks like you had to do a lot of work to make it right

For the record, I have to say that Wright's have always been pretty good at replacing defective knives in my experience, without wishing to know their history. I returned one of their so-called 'Senator' patterns some years ago, which had been bought online. Mechanically there was nothing wrong with it, but the stag was awful, with no character at all. They built me another, at no cost, and used Sambar for the covers. ScruffUK had a Rosewood Lambsfoot, also bought online, and the scales were terrible. He sent it back for a refund, and in addition to the refund, he received an apologetic letter from Wright's with a replacement knife free of charge
