The Grenfell Love Foundation: a gracious act in memory of Marco and Gloria

Marco and Gloria were young and talented architects who dreamed of launching their professional career in London.  After graduating from the University of Venice they move to London to start their life together. They find a splendid apartment where they literally have all of London at their feet. The view is amazing, they are happy, in love and passionate about their work. 

Their home is on the 23rd floor of the Grenfell Tower.

This date could have represented the end of all their dreams. Marco and Gloria were taken away from their parents, their friends and the world too soon. Too soon to leave their mark in architecture, too soon to design the modern, sustainable homes they had imagined – too soon.

However, in an incredible act of generosity and humanity, their parents have transformed this tragedy into a movement of hope. The Grenfell Love Foundation aims to give financial support to students of architecture, who will focus their thesis and research on Building Safety and Sustainable Construction. 

Marco and Gloria now have a chance to leave their contribution to the world of Architecture by ensuring that a tragedy like the Grenfell Tower Fire becomes a “Never Again” moment in history.
