ZEN Technology team is on the forefront of Hospitality technology, working closely with World leading travel-tech companies like Yanolja and eZee. You will be leading our tech center in Manila and Bangkok, working with best-in-class colleagues from all around the world in solving the problems of travel in Asia.

WHAT PROJECTS WILL YOU WORK ON:

Including, but not limited to: 

  1. Development of new native mobile apps
  2. Strategic projects and deeper integration with Yanolja and eZee products, aiming to:
    1. Improve distribution/sales capabilities
    2. Improve control of in-properties operations and benefit from centralization and economies of scale
    3. Improve booking and stay-in customer experience
    4. Improve efficiency of hotel operations (IoT etc)
  3. Improvement of user experience of main ZEN Rooms website 
  4. Improvement of back office architecture to adapt to company growth and scale
  5. Work on features to leverage vertical integration Property-OTA and improve booking and stay-in experience of the travellers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guide and support your team through the development process
  • Design and own full life cycle delivery of cross functional projects and automated solutions
  • Be part of the decision making process, proactively deconstruct and analyze both technical and product requirements
  • Adopt, share and adapt conventions and best-practices
  • Coach and mentor our high-performing engineers to help them grow their skills, enhance their knowledge of our systems and their ability to get things done
  • Find balance and compromises between “yes” and “no”
  • Drive evolution of architecture and process
  • Actively track progress across multiple streams and create transparency and visibility
  • Ensure reliability: test, monitor and add resilience
  • Engage and align top talent through strong recruitment, mentoring, hands-on architectural leadership and career management
  • Supporting company growth by facilitating software scaling
  • Experience in handling department budget

REQUIREMENTS:

  • You have a refined understanding of software and programming fundamentals regardless of language/framework
  • You are self-motivated and strive to find pragmatic, incremental paths to success, even when faced with big challenges
  • Experience leading software Developers, DevOps and QA teams in an Agile environment, across multiple and geographically distributed teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written
  • 10+ years of experience in Software engineering, preferably in startup and web industry.
