MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) -- He's on a mission to help people with disabilities feel more independent and respected.

Ben Trockman joined NBC15's Leigh Mills to talk about his goal to change the handicapped sign in Wisconsin.

He says the logo that signifies people with disabilities, as well as the word "handicapped" are both outdated.

Instead, he wants to update the logo and change the word to "reserved" to signify a more forward moving, active representation of people with disabilities.

Trockman works at Old National Bank helping educate others about working with people who have disabilities.
