Rumours from Neogaf have surfaced revolving around the image above which shows official Nintendo lanyards which will be seen during E3 2013. As you can see above, plenty of Nintendo characters such as Donkey Kong, Mario, Luigi, Toon Link, Tetra, and the Pikmin adorn these lanyards. The speculation, however, centres on the characters representing their own title being revealed or shown at E3 2013. Yet, no word of a new Donkey Kong game has been announced leaving many to wonder if Nintendo will indeed finally give fans what they’ve been desperately waiting for; a 3D Donkey Kong adventure. Hopefully this announcement does occur and the Wii U happens to be the native console to place a cool DK title on.

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past 2 confirmed to run at 60FPS, even in 3D

Image

Nintendo’s upcoming Zelda handheld title. A Link to the Past 2, will run at 60FPS according to longtime series producer, Eiji Aonuma. This is a significant upgrade considering all 3DS titles at this time have only visualized at 30FPS. With 60FPS, A Link to the Past 2 will allow for a smooth and crispy clean framerate and will stabilize the 3D effect a lot better. Aonuma also stated that you don’t need to play in 3D to solve the puzzles in the long awaited title. A Link to the Past 2 launches this Holiday season 2013.

“The game runs at 60FPS, while all the 3D games up till now have run at 30FPS. The faster the framerate, the more stable the 3D effect, so 60FPS is a big deal. There are players who don’t like 3D and always keep it switched off, so there’s nothing in the game that absolutely requires 3D, like puzzles that can’t be solved without it.”
