WHO ARE DELIA AND MILENKO PRVAÄŒKI?

Delia and Milenko Prvacki

Husband and wife duo Milenko and Delia Prvacki migrated from former Yugoslavia and Romania in the early 1990s, and have since become familiar faces in the Singapore art scene. They enjoy sharing their art and educating little visitors who come into BIG HUG.

Delia Prvacki née Iliesiu (b. 1950) was born in Romania. Delia’s passion for poetry, music and folklore from an early age inspired her to become an artist. She loves working with clay and ceramics because it is a flexible yet robust material. Delia’s murals and sculptures have been displayed in buildings and urban spaces in Singapore, like MRT stations and public parks.

Milenko Prvacki (b. 1951) was born in former Yugoslavia. Milenko is a veteran artist and arts educator, and has taught at LASALLE College of the Arts since 1994. His works are about the communities he has lived amongst and are displayed in numerous private and public collections. In 2012, he was awarded Singapore’s Cultural Medallion for Visual Arts. He is now a Senior Fellow in the Office of the President at LASALLE College of the Arts and the coordinator of the Tropical Lab, an annual international art workshop for Masters of Art degree students.
