Customer Q&A

3 questions already asked

Q
Can it be connected to Apple TV?
shakir  Dec 31, 2020
2 answers
A
Short answer - yes. Long answer, you need to pair the Yamaha in Apple TV settings>remotes and devices>Bluetooth after doing a Wireless Audio Synch in settings>video and audio. The wireless synchronized calibrates your particular TV's audio time lag so the Yamaha is playing in such with the images. You use your iPhone with the TV app to perform the synch. Actually pretty cool process.
brian  Jan 01, 2021
A
Yes, but it should not be the primary source. It's really designed to be a rear surround speaker.
steven  Dec 31, 2020
Q
Can it connect to tv by optical digital and also Wi-Fi?
anne  Dec 04, 2019
1 answer
A
It can connect via optical digital, but will not connect directly TV via Wifi. The Wifi is for music streaming, or they can be used as rear surrounds with a Yamaha Music Cast AV receiver.
thomas  Dec 19, 2019 (Staff)
Q
Does this speaker alone offer stereo sound, or must it be paired with another to offer true stereo?
wilson  Dec 25, 2019
1 answer
A
Although the fidelity for my single MusicCast speaker is outstanding, it must be paired with another to then program it to deliver true "left" and "right" speakers.
