The upcoming week is eventful.

It’s bits and pieces of us rearranging, it’s departures, it’s closure, it’s momentum, it’s all of this and more.

Right now as I type this newsletter, Mercury in Cancer is opposing Pluto in Capricorn. It’s a cautionary tale about what happens when we let our mind wander under the influence of intrusive, obsessive thoughts.

Tomorrow (Sunday, August 2nd)’s square between the Sun in Leo and Uranus in Taurus might have us finally snapping out of it — realizing that there is no point in fostering mental subjugation to things that outlived their purpose. Enough is enough. We deserve to give ourselves the gift of freedom. To sever the cords that dim our shine and bind our Will.

On Monday, August 3, the Moon grows full in the sign of Aquarius (forecast is coming soon, I promise!). The two Lights will be involved in a t-square formation with Uranus, the Awakener. It will be jolts and bolts and Utopia — glimpses of the future and personal revolutions. Expect the unexpected is something Astrologers tend to say a lot when Uranus is involved. I’d say don’t limit yourself to expectations. Claim the unexpected. Welcome it with open arms. Envision the million ways in which your life could change right now. And then, prepare to meet those outcomes halfway.

On Tuesday, August 4, Mars in Aries (currently in its pre-Retrograde shadow) squares Retrograde Jupiter in Capricorn, awakening a newfound thirst for conquest, a hunger to reclaim and name distant, towering peaks. And yet, with Jupiter in Capricorn, expansion comes at a price. The price of consequences, of responsibilities, of accountability. The price of contraction — of subtracting so we can add. Are we willing and able to do the math?

On Wednesday, August 5, Mercury enters Leo and the Moon enters Pisces. On a hazy, dreamy, vaguely psychic emotional backdrop, we will be weaving words like golden threads and wearing them like ornaments that reflect the light of the Sun, making ourselves visible, shimmering, commanding attention as we speak from the heart.

On Thursday, August 6, the Moon in Pisces connects with Neptune, inviting us to swim in the liminal and tap into our creative visions.

On Friday, August 7, Venus leaves Gemini for Cancer, bringing up themes of nurturing, conditioning, conditional nurturing and re-parenting in relationships and in all things Venus — pleasure, diplomacy, concordance, artistic pursuits.

The card I picked for the upcoming week is the Three of Pentacles, reversed.

I have a feeling that the Aquarius plenilune is going to shed light on the web of interconnections that surrounds us, and the very practical, tangible implications of those connections. The ones we keep pouring into, but which, in turn, leave us depleted and in the cold. The allies and the frenemies. The energy vampires, and the Guardian Angels. Those with whom we can share and halve our burdens. Reciprocity and lack of balance. Cooperation and sabotage. Loss and gain. I see new alliances forming, and old ones dying away. I see wrongs being righted. Freedom to leave. Freedom to choose those who choose us, freedom to move away from rooms where our presence is not honoured.

Claim that change.
Be that change.

Love,
Cristina
