The Clark County School District has a task of trying to fix a $60 million budget shortfall, which means millions of dollars and hundreds of jobs are on the chopping block.

On Thursday night, trustees will discuss a budget reduction plan that would eliminate 120 full-time bus drivers.  However, special education is a major cut being considered by the Clark County School District.

CCSD budget shortfall: 120 bus driving positions could be cut

CCSD is proposing to cut 167 special education facilitators. Facilitators are basically middle-men between parents and a school to help with a child’s curriculum.

The facilitators will fill other open positions within the district if the plan is approved by trustees.
