SGPC comes up with zone level incharges to ensure availability of free food to needy people

CHANDIGARH, Punjab—To ensure the availability of food to every needy one in Punjab, the SGPC president Gobind Singh Longowal has appointed incharges of Majha, Doaba and Malwa zones of Punjab. Beside it, the SGPC has also fixed a zone in Haryana to help out the needy people in this country wide lockdown.

Sharing the development with media, Longowal informed that the SGPC’s senior vice president Rajinder Singh Mehta has been assigned the responsibility of looking after Majha zone along with Chief Secretary Dr. Roop Singh, Personal Secretary Mohinder Singh Aahli and Additional Secretary Sukhdev Singh Bhoora Kohna.

“The responsibility to look after Doaba zone has been assigned to SGPC’s general secretary Harjinder Singh Dhami along with additional secretary Sukhminder Singh,” he informed.

He further informed that he will look after the Malwa zone himself with the help of additional secretary Paramjit Singh Saroa, vice secretary Sukhwinder Singh Grewal and Darshan Singh.

“In Haryana, SGPC’s executive member Bhupinder Singh Asandh, Jagsir Singh Mangiana and Paramjit Singh have been appointed to coordinate the arrangements,” he added.

Meanwhile, Gobind Singh Longowal has appealed the sangat to make donations for this kind act according to their ability. He has also appealed the SGPC employees to donate a part of their earnings for ensuring food availability to the needy people.
