does this safe come with the backup key if the battery dies in the electronic lock?

Yes, you can remove the door. Open the door, remove the hinge caps. Lift the door carefully – you will need a team lift. Please note that the door is very heavy and cannot be replaced.

Great purchase. Easily screwed to floor (required for safety). Definitely take off the door when moving around at your residence to install, then two men can easily maneuver it.

Great Safe

This is the best safe out there at his price point of $300.  I wanted more fire resistance than a cabinet, and the electronic lock is very nice. I was able to fit 7 full sized rifles and shotguns in one side, and the other side (half) will be used for storage of pistols, ammo, accessories, and important documents. Fits my needs perfectly.

Great safe for a great price

I own 3 Stack on Gun Safes and every one of them are worth their weight in gold. I just couldn't hold myself back from buying this one. The price was right and it was in stock ready to be picked up. It's much bigger than it looks online and came out of the box without a scratch. The staff at Walmart helped me get it into my truck and I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes.

Can't beat it for the price!

Great gun cabinet with plenty of features. Bought one for my nephew, and liked it so much I bought myself one. Like the electronic lock, easy to program and with keyed backup.

Perfect size for a closet. I have five long guns and two handguns and this safe is exactly what I was looking for. I have purchased a few accessories to maximize the space.

Perfect for my needs!

We love the safe; but the shipping is a nightmare all the way around. They called to schedule a time (a window between 10 - 2 and the day). When I requested a different day or a later time I was told no that was the only time they could deliver and I had to be home to receive it. I had to leave work to accommodate and he came almost at 2, so I missed a half a day of work for that. When the box was opened today, the safe was damaged at the top, most likely from shipping. Nice product but different shipping arrangements should be available.

A great safe for the price.  I would have given it 5 stars but there were two small cosmetic dents on the side of the safe.   I had the safe delivered and noticed that the cardboard packing was damaged in places. I inspected the safe and found the small dents but they were not worth sending the safe back.

Had this a ship to the store so I can check the outside for damage before bringing it home. Brought it home opened it up and found that the inner door seam weld had broke. Contacted Walmart service department for return, they have a third party that will pick it up at my house unfortunately they don't do pickups on the weekend

Please check outside and inside first

Good safe. Nice features. Bad packaging. Outside had some minor scratches, so I accepted it. But the inside showed the insulation tiles broken in a few places and a couple of joints that hold the divider in place had broken off from the insulation. Not sure why they would not put packaging material on the inside. It's a hassle to return it, so I patched up the insulation and decided to keep it. For the price I paid, i think it is ok.

packaging needs improvement

I looked at the safes at my local Walmart.  They looked as if they had better days.  I ordered one online believing it would ship from a warehouse or directly from the manufacturer.  When I went to pick it up I realized it was one of those already in the store.  Upon inspection I noticed the pin that aligns the key for manual opening has misaligned and would not accept the key.  I declined that one and inspected the others available.  One had cracked door hinges, the other was rusted, and the other one would not even accept the key.
Very disappointed with the quality of this manufacturer.
