Instead of having to travel all the way to Troy for a scheduled game with Troy Athens on Thursday, the Ann Arbor Skyline High School water polo team got to stay in the comfy confines of its home pool against Grand Ledge.

The Eagles showed they were very comfortable in their surroundings with a 21-5 win. Eleven different players scored for Skyline (14-13), including Ryan Mabie who had his first varsity goal.

Leading 10-4 at halftime, Skyline coach Ben Dahlmann told his starters they were only going to play in a limited capacity in the second half. They responded with a 7-0 third quarter before the second string took over.

"It's invaluable to get everyone playing time," Dahlmann said. "All these kids work hard and its certainly nice to rewards them with an opportunity to score some goals and for 11 players to score, as a coach that's the highlight for me."

Ian Grosh led Skyline with four goals.
