SF Loteria Live!

Celebrating SFCB’s San Francisco Loteria Print Portfolio and Roadworks Steamroller Prints

Thursday, November 18, 6-8pm
San Francisco Center for the Book
300 De Haro Street
San Francisco, CA 94103

Join us for an evening of Loteria SFCB style – print your own loteria card, view and purchase original letterpress loteria prints, and learn how to play loteria while sipping fine tequila!

We will be showcasing 18 small-scale linoleum prints that are interpretations of traditional loteria cards designed by invited artists featured at the annual Roadworks Steamroller Street Fair. Large scale 3’x3’ prints steamroller prints will also be on view and available for purchase.

Loteria is a game of chance played with 54 cards that represent significant icons in Mexican culture. Come play the game with a traditional “caller” and the poetic rhymes associated with the card iconography.

Featured Loteria and Roadworks artists include: Megan Adie, Gary Comoglio, Maggie Engebretson, John Hersey, Josefina Jaquin, Sandra Kelch, Mary Laird, Julie Nelson-Gal, Maia de Raat, Eric Rewitzer, Brad Robinson, Jenny Robinson, Joe DiStefano, Rigel Stuhmiller, Patricia Wakida, Michael Wertz and Gail Wight, Gary Brewer, Sarah Newton and Rik Olson.

Tickets are $35 per person, and include two drink tickets and two game cards. Click below to purchase tickets or call (415) 565-0545 x16
