Wow, those links you gave are excellent!  Thank you so much, it's like the person was sitting in the exact same spot.   I must get the other watercolours scanned and put on. 

I think the watercolours that my family have hold a key to the history of my great-grandfather.  None of them are signed, I've always wondered if he even did them.  They all seem to be done overseas, there are no paintings done in Canada.  He was a butler and right now I think he was  butler for Canon Mowbray Trotter.  I am actually waiting on information from the Librarian from Gloucester Cathedral.  Would a butler be able to afford to paint watercolours?  Would he have the time?

I wonder if he visted the places he painted. Maybe he painted them from paintings in his employers collections.
May explain why Tintern was named Imtton. That's what he overheard  Tintern as.
