Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Here's a comparison shot showing the swedge alongside a couple other A. Wright Lambsfeet Lambsfoots Lambsfootses Lambsfoot knives. The Guardians Lambsfoot is on the left with it's beautiful knife-edge swedge, Ebony in the center with what I would call a standard swedge, and on the right is another buffalo horn with no swedge whatsoever. I think the swedge on the Guardians Lambsfoot makes it look like a streamlined bullet train.

Side note: my computer apparently hates the word "swedge." It keeps auto-correcting it to "Swede."

Wow! Thanks for those fantastic comparison pics Barrett

LOL! :D

It's still expected to be delivered yesterday, but they've never actually said that it was out for delivery.
Anyway, it's cleared customs, I guess.

I've spent a lot of time looking at everybody's tracking details myself. I have to say that for a rather expensive 'Premium' service, it's all pretty poor, the tracking details can be really vague, and they don't seem to be prioritised at all :(

I agree with you Jack !!! It certainly is not like what I have been accustomed to .

Well, I had a page open for each; Royal Mail, Canada Customs and Canada Post, and I was jotting down email addresses because the phone numbers proved useless. Trying to track down the package that is supposed to be tracked and signed for, I heard an unceremonious "plop" at my front door! There it was!! I am so happy to have the package, but Jack should get his money back for the so-called high-level service!!
Enough complaining - what a beautiful Guardian!! Thanks for doing this project, Jack!!
Mechanically perfect, this knife is also very attractive! Hats off to A.Wright & Sons!!

And my tea caddy has never been so well equipped!!
Thanks for everything, Jack!!

I am so glad it arrived Charlie :) As it was one of the first I posted, I have been worried, and had the Royal Mail and Canada Post pages open myself this afternoon, for all the use they are. The tracking and 'Priority' status seems to be a total rip-off doesn't it? Anyway, I'm very pleased it reached you at last my friend, and I think you may have the nicest yet, that Mark side is really something  More tea vicar? :D ;)

Yes that's it!! An Ocean and a Continent away!!
I feel lucky!! While a blade doesn't have to be centered on a production knife IMO, this one is dead center. The pull is a good 7 1/2 to 8 - my fave, and the snaps are nice and enthusiastic! And, the grinds and finishes are just right!!
From my point of view, Wright's would do well to offer a "Grade "A" line!!

You got a winner, Charlie! (Not that I've seen one yet that isn't. :D)

Thought I'd go back in the thread and see if I could find a photo of my Guardians Lambsfoot in Sheffield as well. Sure enough, there it is!

And here it is in Arizona.

While looking, I think I also spotted Charlie's knife getting etched on the pantograph machine.

I see I'm not the only one trying to spot my knife in the in-progress pics.

I'm very pleased. Often, the first thing I do with a new knife is touch up the edge, but on a knife with such a firm pull, I'll carry it a while, open and close it a bunch of times until I get a feel for it. Keeps the blood on the inside. ;)

Good luck to anyone still waiting.

Mine also has a pretty stout pull. I will say that, given the strong pull, the nail nick on mine could be a bit deeper, but I have at least one other A. Wright with a much shallower nail nick, so I'm not complaining. :D

Yeah, I'm not complaining, either. I know I have wimpy nails, but I can open the knife just fine. I ran a lot of oil through the well to clean out some polishing compound. That, along with still having a shiny new blade makes it a little slippery right now. I don't want to put a scary-sharp edge on it until I've worked the joint through more open/close cycles. Gives me an excuse to sit and play with it while reading. :D

I didn't notice it when I first saw your pictures, Charlie, but looking back at them now, I'd say you definitely got one with an super-sized nail nick! :D

Nice pic r8shell, I oiled the pivot a little on mine, but that's it! :D

I'd assumed they were all the same, but then I imagine they're probably struck in by hand
