Today SAP has released the new Feature Pack Stack 02 (FPS 02) for SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain for Secondary Distribution (S4SCSD) 2.0. The end-to-end solution supports the order to cash process and the supply planning of downstream companies. It consists of SAP S/4HANA Oil & Gas for Secondary Distribution Management (SAP SDM) and SAP S/4HANA Oil & Gas for Retail Fuel Network Operations (SAP RFNO).

The new feature pack includes numerous enhancements based on valuable input from customers. Additionally, it contains significant innovations in the areas of tour planning and fuel station management. Users deploying the new service pack will further improve downstream logistics automation as well as the management of fuel retail networks.

Key innovations of the new feature pack

Here are some of the innovations that the new FPS 02 brings along:

Reduced driving distance and time: trip sequencing for Integrated Dispatch Management (IDM)

Dispatchers are now able to reorder stops from the trip context menu in Integrated Dispatch Management. Doing this they can optimize the sequence of stops in a trip to determine an efficient route and reduce driving distance and time. This leads to minimized driving time and costs for trips as well as improved resource use for trucks and drivers.

Improve Trip Sequence (IDM)

Truck live-tracking for Integrated Dispatch Management (IDM)

IDM now consists of an interface to receive the current truck position from external sources, for example from systems receiving GPS coordinates from various vehicles.

Dispatchers are then able to display the current truck position on the planning screen of IDM. This allows them to act on current events such as last-minute orders or canceled orders. In total they can observe the overall progress of the respective trip and detect unexpected deviations from the planned route.

Teams for service station networks in SAP Retail Fuel Network Operations (SAP RFNO)

Structures of fuel station networks can now be managed even more effectively in SAP RFNO. Managers can create teams that are responsible for supervising a part of a service station network and assign users to the teams. They can do so on regional, area, or subarea levels. Furthermore they can allow users of a responsible team to see the stations assigned to their part of the network in the related SAP Fiori app “Service Station Overview”. The key benefits: Flexible assignment of responsible managers and teams to service station networks and maintenance application for the team structure.
