New Technology will Charge Mobile in Seconds

The time consumed during charging a mobile is an important factor today.

We bring you update on a technology which will allow your mobile to be recharged in just seconds, not minutes or hours, that’s a thing of the past. Fast mobile battery recharging is possible with this new technology.

A team of researchers from the Faculty of Engineering at Drexel University located in Pennsylvania (USA) has developed a new type of electrode that is capable of charging the battery of our mobile in just seconds.

As you know, today ‘s batteries consist of two electrodes, which are essentially electrochemical cells, which make up one side positively charged and one negatively charged. Thus, electric conduction is generated to achieve contact with the electrolyte; These support the movement for the ions to move between the electrodes and so, the current flow out of the battery.

This new type of electrode uses a material called: MXene, which is known as a perfect conductor of electricity. This new electrode will help to recharge conventional batteries in a matter of few seconds.

Yurt Gogotsi, director of the study, said :

“THIS OPENS THE WAY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF STORAGE DEVICES ULTRA POWERFUL ENERGY THAT CAN BE CHARGED AND DISCHARGED IN SECONDS, BUT STORING Much MORE ENERGY THAN CONVENTIONAL SUPERCAPACITORS.”

The most interesting fact about this new technology is the new MXene material which will facilitate fast charging on a mobile device. The concept is simple, but it will offer big relief to mobile users around the globe.
