In what it calls “the interest of transparency,” the Saskatchewan Party says six of its candidates in the upcoming provincial election — including two new faces — have impaired driving convictions on their records.

Terry Jenson, the Saskatchewan Party contender in Martensville-Warman, and Manny Sadhra, the candidate in Saskatoon Fairview, are among six of the party’s candidates with similar convictions.

The convictions of four other party candidates who are currently sitting MLAs — Terry Dennis (Canora-Pelly), Don McMorris (Indian Head-Milestone), Scott Moe (Rosthern-Shellbrook) and Eric Olauson (Saskatoon University) — have previously been disclosed publicly.

According to the Sask. Party, Jenson’s conviction took place in 1994 while Sadhra’s was in 2008.

Dennis was convicted in 1978 and again in 2001, McMorris was convicted in 2016, Moe in 1992 and Olauson in both 1992 and 1993.
