To use a command line switch:
On Windows:
Right click on your "Chrome" icon.
Choose properties
At the end of your target line add the command line flag. For example:
--remote-debugging-port=9222
With that example flag, it should look like: chrome.exe --remote-debugging-port=9222
--single-process (this makes Chrome.exe run as a single process instead of a process for every tab)
--disable-images (turns off all images displayed on web pages)
".....\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-images
