About the author

A qualified mechanical engineering designer, Keith Lee has been actively involved in drag racing for 20 years. From being an impressed young spectator at the Drag Festivals, he went on to compete on one of the more unusual machines, before spending many years as a writer and photographer working for various national and international publications – most notably, as drag strip correspondent for Motor Cycle Weekly. Keith was also a commentator at Santa Pod Raceway for ten years, and served on the committee of the main organizing club of the period, the BDR&HRA. He now works as a professional photographer.
