The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that construction work will require overnight closure of the ramp from southbound Route 896 onto northbound I-95 for tree clearing. Additionally, there will be overnight lane closures on Route 72 for demolition work, Route 896 for sign work, and I-95 for guardrail work.
I-95 RAMP CLOSURES
- Monday August 14 through Thursday August 17: Overnight Ramp Closure; southbound Route 896 onto northbound I-95. (9:00 PM to 5:00 AM).
I-95 LANE CLOSURES
- Monday August 14: Daytime Lane Closure ; northbound I-95 between the Route 896 Interchange and the Welcome Plaza. (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM).
Route 896 LANE CLOSURES:
- Tuesday August 15 or Wednesday August 16: Overnight Lane Closure — northbound Route 896 from Old Baltimore Pike to I-95. (10:00 PM to 5:00 AM)
Route 72 LANE CLOSURES
- Monday August 14 through Wednesday August 16: Overnight Lane Closure – Route 72 between Scottfield Drive and Peoples Drive. Flaggers will direct traffic. (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
This work is weather permitting. Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays in the area.
