The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that ramp construction is planned next week on Interstate 95 in Northeast Philadelphia.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
Thursday, March 14, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, the ramp from Aramingo Avenue to northbound I-95 will be closed for the setup of a new traffic pattern. Motorists will be directed to use Aramingo Avenue and Tacony Street to access the northbound I-95 on-ramp at Bridge Street.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The ramp work is part of PennDOT’s $268 million I-95 Section BS2 project to reconstruct I-95 between Carver an Margaret streets and improve the Bridge Street Interchange.
