A Hineston woman allegedly hit and bit a disabled person, then created a disturbance with Oak Hill High School staff members, according to a release.

Kristie Lynne White

Kristie Lynne White, 40, of the 300 block of Tolbert Loop, was arrested after Rapides Parish Sheriff's detectives served a search warrant at her home on Wednesday. She was charged with one count of cruelty to the infirm and one count of unlawful disruption of the operation of a school.

The initial report came from Oak Hill's school resource officer, according to the sheriff office's release. Detectives from the Glenmora substation began an investigation, finding out that the victim had been battered before being dropped off at the school.

"Detectives were able to interview the victim, who stated Kristie Lynne White ... had hit her several times in the face area and had bitten her, leaving visible welts on her body," reads the release.

The investigation also found that White "had caused a verbal disturbance with some of the staff" before she left the school.

White later was released from jail on bond.
