It must include written confirmation that your time will be protected Monday-Thursday during SPORT from all clinical or other duties to attend program activities and complete out-of-class assignments. It must also describe how your SPORT program will be funded.

The standard fee for SPORT is $3,500.

For UChicago Department of Medicine candidates, Medicine will pay $1,750 and your section will pay $1,750. Surgery will pay $3,500 for candidates participating from that department. Candidates from other institutions or departments should discuss funding with their program or unit leader.

Students currently enrolled in a University of Chicago graduate program may be able to participate in SPORT without additional charge beyond tuition and fees by registering for the courses as part of their graduate program.
