Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

 Clear as mud, Jack :p

So, I have a big'un and a middle'un. (33, and 31?) If I want a small'un, I should look for a 132?

Yeah, sorry! Yeah, 'cept the Guardians pattern is a SFO, which wasn't actually allocated a Wright's reference number! o_O The 132 is a 'Senator' Lambsfoot without file-work, the little 'un is the 311/4, I think!

Got it! I sure wish I could just walk down to my local cutlery shop and see 'em all.

Me too! :) Even the few brick and mortar knife stores which still exist here generally only carry a few patterns, and the factory isn't set up for retail sales at all. I'd love to see one of those old-style display boards with all the patterns on :)

Now that would be something to see! It couldn't be all that difficult to put together and would be a rather simple effort towards some semblance of marketing...

Took out my horn clad beauties this morning as the sun was starting to come up and snapped a couple of pics.

Nice morning pictures, Dylan!! Warms my heart!! Beautiful subjects help!!

So, I finally got my "big'un" back from a trip to a good friend who sharpens knives professionally. I can accomplish a reasonably usable edge on a knife, but can't come close to what this man can do.
The knife in question is of course the bottom one, with a group of others that traveled with it. This Lambsfoot was a gift from mr. "single-blade" knife himself!!:) Thanks Jack L!!
You will notice the original finish is a bit uneven - must have been a late friday afternoon knife!
But it works well and takes a wicked edge!! It is, in a word, Sharp!!
I am becoming an apostle of professional service at certain points in the use of a knife.;)
It is my intention to finally seek the heart and soul of a Lambsfoot. So, I will temporarily retire my KOTY <D-E>, and only carry this Lambsfoot for a month or three!!o_O
I will of course, report back here!!

Yeah, I really don't know why they don't make one up? Maybe just haven't thought of it?

Wow! You really take some great pics Dylan, you've captured those two beautifully

Generous, as always Jack :) Yeah, I think Wright's leave the Rosewood models until Friday Charlie! ;) :D That looks like a great edge my friend, and it's fantastic that you're finally taking the plunge. Hope you'll share your thoughts and observations with us as the months progress :)

Looks like you use your big'un a fair bit, Rachel! I am just embarking on that path!
I will of course report back here with how it performs!

Looking forward to hearing how you find the big old boy Charlie

I'm back to black today ;)

Greg is currently putting a lot of work into making a full index for the thread :) Looking through it though, there are still a lot of posts with pictures missing due to the Photobucket code no longer being supported. This makes it harder to produce a full index, and can make some of the discussion harder to follow. It'd really make a difference if the Guardians concerned could edit their posts, and either upload images directly via BF, or post alternative (non-Photobucket) code from another image hosting service  I'd be grateful for your assistance folks  - smiling-knife smiling-knife (posts 19, 75, 114, 319, 331), @supratentorial (posts 116, 237, 255, 256). @philllll (post 182), bonzodog bonzodog (posts 185, 204, 215, ), mazdamattc (post 233), @StoneBeard (post 294), @ADEE (post 296), @mike Berkovitch (post 316), @Campbellclanman (post 341), H herder (posts 426, 433, 449, 468) - That's just the first 25 pages! - Thanks to everyone who has already taken the trouble to edit their PB-affected posts

That is a wonderful index put together by WhittlinAway!!! Is there a way to make it a sticky in the beginning of this thread? I had to go back several pages to find it again.
Thanks for the reminder of missing pictures and I will go back and ad what I can.
