July 2017 Newsletter
LETTER FROM THE ACTING DIRECTOR

Dear Friends,

tim photo
This edition marks the relaunch of USAID Center for Faith-based and Community I ni tiatives' (CFBCI) Newsletter. Over this interval, USAID has developed a number of new partnerships and collaborative arrangements with a substantive number of faith-based and local community organizations. We remain cognizant of the reality that there are approximately six billion religiously-affiliated people around the world; and that the international community increasingly needs to recognize and value the indispensable role of faith-based groups in the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Sincerely,

Timothy Lavelle
Acting Director, USAID Center for Faith Based and Community Initiatives
