This is a young-ish Curve-billed thrasher trying to stay cool during the peak heat of the day by hanging out on a Cholla cactus.  The last couple of days I saw a juvenile wren on my patio: very tiny and cute with its tiny tail sticking straight up. Naturally, batteries in all three cameras were dead. See new journal title...

I think it was harder to do winter than it was for summer. Kudos to those who really went out of their way to challenge themselves. I'm sorry that I didn't make many comments. Since the hinge broke on my laptop, its use has been hit and miss.
