1. ROLE PROFILE

We’re looking for a passionate and talented Data Scientist to join our rapidly growing team at Moscow office (careers.bcg.com/mos-bcg-gamma). We accept online applications from exceptional computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or other data centric disciplines who have completed their Master’s and PhD degree studies. In this role, you’ll have the chance to roll up your sleeves and apply data science methods and analytics to real-world business situations across a variety of industries. You’ll work alongside some of the world’s top minds on cases that reshape business, government, and society. You’ll collaborate on challenging projects with team members from many backgrounds and disciplines, increasing your understanding of complex business problems from diverse perspectives and developing new skills and experience to help you in the future, be that at BCG or beyond.

1. REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience

• Recent PhD or Master’s Degree in computer science, applied mathematics, statistics, machine learning, or other data-centric disciplines with 2-5 years of relevant industry work experience providing advanced analytics solutions strongly preferred
• Excellent analytical skills and strategic thinking, creative problem-solver
• Strong interpersonal credibility, reliability, and service mentality, high ethical standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Relevant internships and strong passion for data science topics

Technical competencies

• Fluent English and Russian
• Experience in core analytics methods (e.g. Machine Learning/Deep Learning, Optimization/Operational Research, Predictive Modeling, etc…)
• Familiarity with a broad base of analytics tools (Data management ; Analytics platforms / Programming – e.g. Python ; Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib,etc…)
• Experience in applied analytics for business problem solving/experience building analytical solutions
