Employee killed in shooting outside Frayser group home

An employee at a Frayser group home was shot multiple times Tuesday night outside the facility and later died at the hospital, police said.

Open Arms Care, a group home for adults with intellectual disabilities. An employee was shot outside the facility Tuesday night.

The shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Greendale Avenue and Steele Street.

Police said the man was taken to the Regional Medical Center where he later died. 
  
No one at the group home was injured. 

The facility is operated by Open Arms Care, a group home for people with intellectual disabilities. 

According to the Open Arms Care website it is "one of the largest private intermediate care facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities in the state of Tennessee, providing care for one third of our state’s most medically fragile population since 1990. "

No arrests have been made and police have not released any further details about the shooting.
