Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Chin, your comments about the swooping Kookaburras at BBQs reminded me of the brazen seagulls along the shores of Lake Huron where we vacation each summer! :D:mad::D

In the Beverages and Blades thread (I think), I compared the covers of your new Guardians' Lambsfoot to brush strokes, but what strikes me in the pics above is how similar to tree rings the pattern in your horn handles is!! Unforgettable, I suspect! Congratulations!!:thumbsup::cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I thought the same GT, really beautiful, I'm reminded of the striations in ivory. The pattern is quite hypnotic! :)

Thanks GT and Jack.

I don't know how to describe it, but the three dimensional depth to the sweeping striations is really entrancing, especially in the sunlight.

I also enjoy the lyrical comparisons the patterning in these A. Wright buffalo horn covers invite. Will's Will Power Will Power 's Buff Lambsfoot had qualities of an ultrasound scan, I recall; whereas your Guardians proto, Jack, brings to mind a fireworks display going off!

Thanks very much Jack.:)

I guess it must be true about the watched pot never boiling, as I'd decided to take a philosophical approach to the arrival of this one, and thought 'It'll get here, when it gets here.' In truth, I've been so pleased with finding my Ebony Lambsfoot again, that I hadn't given the ETA of this knife much thought.

But it was very quick.

And those seamless, glassy smooth covers are very beautiful: maybe it's just because I've seen paintings by these artists recently, but the oil paint brush stroke-like patterning, reminds me of Goya and Turner.

I'm also very much looking forward to how this knife will develop over the years, and I'll scribble a few more notes about it, over the next couple of days.

But for now, suffice to say, I'm blown away by how well executed this beautiful Lambsfoot knife is.

I know I've said it before, but you and the A. Wright crew really ought to be proud of this run.:thumbsup:

Thanks a lot pal, your comments mean a lot, and I'm very glad the knives turned out so well :)

Thanks GT and Jack.

Thanks again my friend, here's another pic of mine :) I can't wait to see the rest in the hands of their Guardians :)

Well. I learned something new. I put the Royal Mail tracking number into the USPS site and I see now my package has been released to my local PO. The last thing on the RM site, was of course, Kennedy Airport.

Hopefully something akin to Chin's Cambertree Cambertree Lambsfoot will arrive here tomorrow

Fingers crossed for some more of them landing tomorrow folks :) Lots of tasty flavours to choose from! :D ;)

....Yeah good thanks Jack. This was my best of the day, but many more also. Cleared a couple of small branches with the knife, you know the bendy ones you cant snap by hand. Haven't quite got the edge I'd like on it yet but sharper than I thought actually...robust and workmanlike, very impressed with it. Cheers Jack! ;)

Nice catch my friend, a great way to spend a day :) I'm glad the Lambsfoot is earning its keep ;)

Well the Royal Mail must employ dirigibles!! My package arrived at Heathrow and left for Canada on October 1st, and doesn't seem to have arrived here as of yet!!

Powered by small mammals! :( I checked your tracking number myself this morning Charlie, and found the info rather sparse. I suspect that, like the US orders, your package has simply been parked up at Customs. I seem to recall that the last package I sent you, by standard Airmail, made record time! Who can figure, but that 'Express Service' is not very Express!! Hope it gets to you soon my friend, yours was one of the very first to go, along with R8shell's and Dylan's (which USPS tried to deliver on the 7th). Has anyone heard from Dylan (Padruig)? Hope he's OK

Mine appears to have processed through customs and has departed Los Angeles (or at least one facility in Los Angeles; hopefully it's on its way to Phoenix now and not to some other processing center in LA). I've got my fingers crossed for tomorrow, but we'll see what happens. I'm looking forward to it!

Fingers crossed here too Barrett! :)

Mine went to Heathrow, then Dublin, then Kennedy customs, then Queens, then Memphis and now its off to its destination which means probably at least two more stops before it’s out for delivery!
But I know it will be well worth the wait!!! :D Hey, we’re all just like a bunch of kids at Christmas!! ;)
