WME has signed multi-platinum recording artist and three-time Grammy and 11-time Latin Grammy winner Shakira in all areas. She was previously represented by CAA.

Over the course of her career, Shakira has sold over 80 million records worldwide and is the only artist from South America to have a No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 with her 2006 smash hit “Hips Don’t Lie.” The Colombian singer/songwriter has four songs total that charted in the top 10 on the Hot 100 and 21 songs total on the song chart.

Shakira’s 11th and most recent studio album, El Dorado, charted at No. 1 on iTunes in 37 countries upon release and won Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2017 Latin Grammy Awards and Best Latin Pop Album at the 2018 Grammy Awards. In November 2018, Shakira wrapped her hugely successful “El Dorado World Tour” followed by the release of the concert film “Shakira in Concert: El Dorado World Tour,” which was shown in cinemas worldwide for a one-night global event, and was accompanied by “Shakira In Concert: El Dorado World Tour Live Album.”

Shakira is equally committed to global philanthropic causes. At 18, she founded the Pies Descalzos (Barefoot) Foundation which currently provides education and nutrition to over 6,000 impoverished children in Colombia and is expanding its work to other countries, including newly launched projects in Haiti and South Africa. In October 2011, Shakira was named a member of President Obama’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics.

Aside from recording music, Shakira served as a coach on the fourth and sixth season of “The Voice,”and starred as Gazelle in Disney’s Oscar-nominated 2016 film Zootopia, as well as contributing to its soundtrack with “Try Everything.” Her LIV Super Bowl performance with Jennifer Lopez has garnered the most YouTube views of all time for a halftime show at over 177 million.
